Whats an SS2?

Hi

I've been looking at importing either a Celica GT or GT 4 (95) and have noticed a few places advertising an SS2 model. I've had a look on the web but cant find any websites that give any detailed info on the car so was wondering does anyone know where I can find more info for this and whether its known by another name.

In Japan the SSII has the twin cam 3S-GE and the SS-I has the twin cam 3S-FE, the SSII has more power and quicker response due to modifications at the head.

3S-GE 1998cc 180ps@7,000rpm (man) 19.5kgm

3S-GE 1998cc 170ps@6600rpm (auto) 19.5kgm

3S-FE 1998cc 140ps@6000rpm (both) 19.0kgm

GT-Four has 3S-GTE giving 255ps and weighs 1400kgm

There's an SSIII too which came later, it also has the 3S-GE and produces 200ps @ 7000rpm
