Hi all

Now this i have your attention I thought I would just introduce myself and give a little background

I have been driving a little Mgf for the past 7 years but 18 months ago my son was born

And made the car a bit impractical being a 2 seater and all that.

He wasn’t to keen on having his car seat fixed to the roof J so I have been hunting around for a nice family car and went looking at the likes of Mondeos ,Freelanders ,

Rav 4’s and I even thought I could squeeze a pram into a Audi TT.

I finally went with the idea of a Rav4 and so the hunt was on.

I joined this forum a couple of months ago to get a few ideas and glad I did.

After looking at a few dogs I finally went for a 5 door 53 plate 2.0 petrol Black Rav with 29000 Miles on the clock,

I love the thing to bits.

It is one of them vehicles that makes you feel not only safe to drive but proud to be seen in.

The fuel economy on the other hand compared to the Mg leaves a lot to be desired but I can live with that.

So far the upgrades I have had done is having the windows tinted, fitted a Double Din

Dvd/Cd/Bluetooth player and fitted a Small yet subtle rear spoiler.

I have ordered a rear view camera which I am waiting delivery on and currently looking for a new set of alloys(the steels look ok but they don’t cry out bling) ,speakers to replace the ones that sound like a !Removed! in a can ,front spots, side steps and maybe a front bull bar.

The bumpers are only Grey along with the Spare wheel cover but I am looking into having them colour coded.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday (in the cold freezing wind) going over the paint with Meguiers

Step 1 paint repair (a bit like t cut) to get rid of some of the neglect where the previous owner had taken

It through car washes and I must say it looks 100 % better.

It just now needs some time spending giving it a good polish / waxing but I must say it looks good as it is.

I don’t have any pics at the moments but as soon as I do I will post them.

I was a regular on the mg forums and now hopefully will be a regular here.

Cheers

Mark

Welcome to the club Chris, my brother very nearly bought an MGF, I went to have a look at a few with him but he ended up using the money as a deposit for a house & just using a company van instead the bore. Glad to hear you're happy with the Rav

Hi Mark and welcome to TOC, glad you love your Rav as much as the rest of us Raver's. If you are crazy

and like a laugh you will fit in well on the Rav forum where we give great advice and rubbish patter

On a more serious note, if you are still looking for accessories dont forget about a member called Parts-King.

He works for Toyota and gets all members a discount. :)
