I know the CTS is pretty rare in Leicester but I spotted 2 recently. One was grey coloured spotted near Evington Road a few days back, the other was a Thunder Grey 3 door spotted in Grove Park this morning. Anybody from here...?

I was in Leicester on the 26th/27th. 3 door thunder grey. I think I spotted one too but can't remember where/what colour.

My old 53 plate thunder grey 5 door, lowered with full bodykit, lives there now. I doubt there are many like it but the 5 door SR looks very similar.

Hello Cablechap, if you are who I think you are - I bought your car :D You are right, there are not many like it - although the front TTE lip has had to come off as it was just to low and me and the Mrs kept hitting it on the curbs and humps. Shame really as it looked awsome with it on.

How you getting on with your new car?

Actually saw a Thunder Grey CTS, facelift (didn't note the plate) on the Relief Road between Camberely heading into Bracknell.

Don't think the driver was a local, they would know that corner leading onto the dual lane bit is very forgiving :D

First CTS i've had follow me with the right foot down.

Sounds like mine, butterman. Yes, the front skirt is a bit of a hazzard, I always approached curbs in caparks very cautiously and some multi-carpark ramps were a definate no-no. You could replace it with the SR front skirt - that is not as low but still looks pretty good.

Getting on well with my T180, over 2k on the clock - the low down torque is amazing (T Sport owners will not know what I am talking about, I'm afraid). Still needs chipping for top end performance which will move it up from 175 to 210bhp and from 295 to 350lbs/ft torque. Will be fitting the armrest extension this weekend (T Sport already has it) plus alloy pedals for a little more sporty feel.

Hope you get on well with yours - still plenty of good miles in it. :D

Thanks, its been great so far - but it can be hard work getting up to those high revs. I normally drive like a fairy, which is good as its economical on the fuel but when I do cane it - boy does it go ! :D Can I ask you if the exhaust on the car is the original or did you have sport exhaust fitted ?

Original, there is a double pipe back box accessory available though.
