I need to get 2 new tyres for my Gen7. Does anybody know if Avons are any good?

The only word I can think of to describe the ZZ3 is average, if you need 205/45/17, Camskill have them on offer ATM at £130 delivered for a pair. It really depends on how much you want to spend, remember, good Tyres can save your life!

Yeah I need 205/45/R17's.

I've had Parelli before at £168 each & had a pair of budget tyres for £180 (all in), which strange as it may sound are really good offering good grip on the rear.

I've been quoted £140 for a pair of Avons (currently BOGOF), I know they're not an expensive brand and cheap tyres are no way near as good. However after some research, Avons don't look too bad and come close to the cheapest Parelli in terms of spec.

Cheers for the advice

I have had dunlops, Bridgestone, Pirelli and toyos, and personally my fav are the Toyo proxy -r. And you can get then £70 odd from Camskill.

So even though they are £74 each they're still good?

I'm also thinking about getting new alloy's. So are these the types of tyres I'd get with the rims?

Random link to an Avensis Battery problem!!

With new wheels, most places will probably put what ever rubber you want round them. By default it's usually some budget, rubbish tyre, with an upgrade option - usually to Toyos!

The only negative comment I have on them is their life isn't quite as good as a good set of Pirelli's, but when you consider the difference in cost and take in to account the performance as well, I'd lump for Toyo's every time!!
