Fitting A Tow Bar? Help Please!

 I bought myself a 53 Avensis T Spirit D4D after a learner driver pulled out on me and wrote off my 02 GS! I am very happy with it but I need some help attaching a tow bar!

On the back there are what appear to be 2 round power socket type thigs with covers that you can flip up (I presume for power to a trailer/caravan) next to these is a black solid square. In the boot is what I believe from an autotrader add a bostal tow bar. It is a black heavy curved metal bar, on one end is a round solid ball, on the other is some kind of round mechanism just before the end of the bar. I would like to attach this, if for nothing else it will protect my bumper if I'm hit from behind, or I reverse into something. I presume the sockets and black square already attached are in some way connectable to this bostal bar? Any help would be most appreciated fellow Avensistians! Thanks in advance! :D :D

Ah, rite, didn't realise it was that easy! Doh!! I just, pulled the plasic square plug out of the square holder, pushed the bosal bar in and twisted the round knob, presto, fitted!! So if I get hit up the rear end now it's gonna do more damage to their bumper than me! By the way, thanks for all the help and advice I received!!! Not!!
