Hi all

Having had a T3 from new for almost three years now I am going to upgrade to the Tspirit when the 08 plate comes out. :D

Does anyone know of any improvements, if any, that are going to be made to the 08 Prius ? I have tried searching the internet but can't find any mention of any upgrades.

Regards,

Dave.

Hi mate, I'm not aware of any, other than the new colour as per my recent thread. There is a facelift model on the horizon but it's only tidying up the front end plus maybe a couple of other items? As for when it's coming out your guess is as good as mine but you'd presume this year, especially as it has been seen in recent tests, and it follows Toyotas 'normal' rota on its models ie: Out for 4 years, then a facelift for 2 years and then a new model. If you search on Google you'll see some snaps of the facelift model.

The biggest difference you'll notice though is going from a T3 to a TS :P There are so many more things to play with.

...a new version of the company's existing nickel metal hydride Battery pack in the new Prius

Most analysts believe it will roll into showrooms in late 2008. In the same announcement, the company said it will slash the price and size of the hybrid by around half.

Surely that can't be right? Half price Prius and a 50% smaller body? Journo mixing their words.

I'm not holding my breath as the facelift needs to come out first. I reckon the 3rd Gen Prius will be at least 2009 before it hits our shores.

The only new Toyota this year is the new Landcruiser, nothing else until 2009, there will be a smaller hybrid car next year (allegedly) but not sure what it will be.

Kingo
