Heating

hi is there any one out there that can help me pleasei have just bought a toyota townace but i have a problem with the heating i have to travel a fair and i mean a :( fair distance before the heating works, it blows and everything but it only gets slightly warm i wondered if this was a thermostate problem or is that how its going to be forever i really hope not because its very cold at the moment as we all know if anyone could help me i would be very grateful

Hi,

it could well be the thermostat - easy and cheap enough to sort out. Is your coolant level topped up OK and consistent ( no coolant loss ). If it's dropping then there's a leak somewhere.
