Headlights Diming Problem

have an avensis 1.6wti 2001, was wondering what would be the problem,

Headlights dim slightly when I apply the brakes and dim alot when i turn on the defrost on the back window. Please help!

Sounds like your charging system or Battery is at fault mate.

Check the Battery voltage when engine is off (should be at least 12Volts)

Check the Battery voltage when engine is running (should be 13-15 Volts)

Could be an earthing problem with your lights ,but this is unlikely as you said the rear window defrost also causes it.
