Hi everyone, Scuba Steve here, my gen 6 JDM Celica GT has a little problem with its speedo? i'm driving along at 30mph, go past one of those "slow down" signs and it flashes at me? I was driving in a 20 zone doing 20mph of course and another "slow down" sign flashed me? it seems that my speedo is 2-5mph off? anyone got any help for me?

Thanks guys and gals

hi mate on my 202 jdm i deresticted it and put a 180 mph speedo face on and wrote down revs v speed to see if it was the same after the conversion. with the original jap speedo face on 30mph was 1600 rpm in fourth,50mph was 2200 in fifth gear,60 2700 in fifth and 70 was 3200 in top. hope thats some help but i cant verify if the figures are correct.

Check your wheel and tyre sizes against standard.

If you've fitted larger wheels and not reduced the tyre profile accordingly your speedo could be way out as a result of that.

And your odometer will be out by a similar amount.
