Hello there, ive recentley bought a 53 plate Avensis 1.8 T4, i took it on the motorway to see what it could do (as you do) and noticed a distinct wobble and all round unsafe feeling when i got to 100mph, now i doubt i'll be doing that sort of speed to often but i wondered could it be the tracking thats out or is this another problem? It feels fine up to that speed but i'd like to no what it could be, thanks.

It could be a few things. Wheel alignment, wheel balancing, suspension or the vibration point every car gets when it hits a certain speed. This is different for every car. On my Fiesta (2nd car - 1.25 Zetec), it's at 90-94 and then its fine past that.

When you say 100mph? i take it that you meant 100mph on a private ? runway? private road? and not the motorway? as that would be against the law lol

Have you looked to see is there a bulge in any of the tyres? If not that you may need to have the wheel balanced or you could have a warped wheel. Look for the bulge thou,if that blows out when your doing 100mph their is a good chance you wont have to worry bout that or anything else ever again!!!
