Hi all, after having spent years owning Fords, I have recently purchased my first Toyota for the princely sum of £395 with 10 months MoT and Tax. She is a 1994 1600 GS saloon with 80,000 miles. Only issue with her was a constant loss of power steering fluid (to such an extent that the PO had cut the top off a plastic bottle and kept it under the bonnet to fill up the reservoir!!). Had a stack of receipts with her that showed she had replacement steering rack and pump (both SH).

I replaced the rack with a new one, changed the front discs and pads, changed the cambelt as a precaution as there was no evidence of it being done and gave her a service. She now runs like a dream. Other things to do are just niggly, annoying things such as finding a water leak (soggy rear footwell), replacing a couple of duff interior bulbs and re-attaching the rear bumper as it has become unclipped on one side.

I also have a 1970 Series 2a Land Rover so like constantly working on vehicles :D
