T Reg Sunroof Problems

Hi my wifes friend has got a t reg avensis with a sunroof problem the roof will slide fully back but when you try to close it it keeps stopping on the way back, but it gets nearly shut about 3/4 of an inch left and thats it wont go any further, try pushing it along while she pressed the switch etc, any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated
