New Speakers Or/and Amplifier On 2002 Yaris D-4d

Hi all, I just found out this nice forum about my car, an excellent Yaris Sol D-4D.

Since my car after 6 years is still doing well, I am not planning of taking a new one. But I am not satisfied anymore with the quality and the power of the stereo. I have the one with cassette, and the frontal toyota cd changer (how !Removed! expensive was it?!), and four (2-ways?) Speakers only in the front.

What can I do to improve the performance of the stereo with a low budget?

Firstly I think that I should change the speakers; and here the first question: should I take four Speakers just like the old ones (10 cm and 13 cm I think)? Or just two with separeted woofer and tweeter?

Would it be enough to have a nicer sound or not?

And what about adding an amplifier, is it possible?

Or, last, what about an aftermarket unit? is there any that can control the toyota cd changer which I do not want to get rid of (considered how much I paid for it)
