After Market Stereo Problem....

Hi Guys/Gals

I have just fitted a Pioneer Head unit in the wifes Rav 4.1, but it won't remember the preset stations etc

I had this before on one on my Nissan 100nx's and I had to swap the two power wires over, the permenent live and the ignition live if I remeber right.

Can anyone tell me what colour wires it is on the RAV?

Dont rely on someone telling you what colour wires. I know they may well be right but... there really is no absolute guarantee the answer will be a sure fire winner. The best bet is refer to a schematic for the headunit for stereoside connection wire, then get someone; or if you know how, to id the correct ones car side with a multi tester.

It truly isnt worth burning stuff out when 10 mins with a multi tester if that will give you the guarantees you should have.

but yup you need to find a permanent live for the memory to stay memorized :)
