Hi everyone!

I've had my Aygo Blue 3dr for a month and a bit now. I was just looking through Equipment list pdf online and it says that there should be door scuff plates for the Aygo Blue as standard. I don't have scuff plates on mine and I have managed to scratch the bottom of the door frame (how I do not know).

Anybody else with an Aygo blue has one? Or is it just for 5dr and not 3dr Aygos

My Blue didn't come with them so I bought a pair just to stop the scratch marks from happening, they fit in seconds and look good as well.

My Aygo spec sheet does not show the scuff plates as standard on the Blue

i have them on mine but i cant remember if that was part of the style pack or not ???

Thanks for your quick responses!

I didn't think so. Maybe it was an old spec sheet online and they used to set it as standard.

Maybe once I get more cash I'll get some fitted. Do I just go to my dealer?

Yes deffo, go the the dealer. More i think about the more I am sure they came with the style pack. They do look very nice!!

They are in with the Style Pack....

I think I'll be taking mine back though as they are very worn down and I don't "scuff" them that much and I wouldnt expect metal plates to look that bad after 3 months....

Can't really complain for a freebie though!

Just PM me when you're ready to buy some

I bought some for my Carbon Sport, very nice too. Bit over priced for a bit of foil covered foam but they do protect the paint.

I found it hilarious to be quoted a fitted price, they are after all just thick stickers. Get some off parts king and stick them on yourself, just make sure to spend time de-greasing and measuring.

I know.... but I got the Style Pack with my Blue which includes them and I got that pack for nothing, hence it being a freebie! ;)

Ooooooo... It does look good on the blue. How much extra protection does that actually offer though? Where my scratch is, it's further out and you can even just see it with the door closed. Of course I think it would take really close inspection to find the scratch, but like it always is, you know it's there so you can see it.

This is the link that threw me off... I didn't think it came with scuff plates....

Equipment list

I went through that list and found some other things that aren' accurate...

Like the VARIABLE intermittent front wiper and AFAIK the ricirculation is only available

with A/C, though this list says it's also available for a Plus and a Platinum, without A/C...

well its stops it getting pregnant :lol2:

its protects the bit it covers so erm that much?

I do think its more of a styling thing tho, I have always got marks on the the lower bit under that, but then I wear heals a lot of the time cos am a dwarf :D

I do like them tho, think they look v good.

@ SJandAygo Can't be allowing it to get pregnant,! If it got pregnant by a Mini the result will be a Mingo... ROFL

I don't know where the scratch is from I don't wear heels when I drive...

So basically not that much protection then just looks cool....

lol @ mingo

but u wear heels other times right ;)

yeah coolness v protection power weighs in the coolness side i would say, plus at close inspection i have managed to scratch the scuff plates ??? not sure how that fits in with any given theroy :D

That's why the phrase E & OE is always found on brochures, Errors and Omissions Excepted............A sort of get out clause when you didnt get something you thought you would by reading a brochure :D:

I wear heels other times, sadly I was not blessed with height!

So basically they give you a list to entice you then when you actually go to buy the car Mr T can go "Haha! You want it? Can't have it, but could I interest you in these optional extras that do include them?" Marketing tactic... Sneaky, very sneaky...

I don't think it's quite as cynical as that, when you have a huge product list with upgrades and enhancements happening all the time, you can print as many new brochures as you like, however if somebody picks up an old brochure, the specs are going to be different straight away, so there has to be a method for errors
