Going Spare (or Rather Over It)

I bought my Avensis in May (or was it June??) last year and have 3 minor accidents with it.

Whats going on ? :(

1/ not quite an 'accident' BUT kids nxt door threw a stone on the bonnet, no proof but am 99.9% sure

tiny dent, have left it as the excess is £150 and to have it done by the local (he's exceptionally good) is £180+vat.. I have decide to live with the small dent.

As it always raining and the other half drives it so I hardly see it, ie best left 'as is'.

2/ before x-mas:- the other half left work and reported a dent in the tailgate... someone must have reversed into it. Cost me £150.00 excess. I had some problems with the paint job (reported elsewhere) but its now sorted.

3/ last night , again driven by the other half; - she drives out of town, following a Fiesta who's spare wheel suddenly fell off the car!!!, no time to stop, she ran over it.... I tell you she was lucky, I had it in at Toyota today and all that's wrong apart from tracking being off is that the wheel arch lining has a crack in it, also a slight bruise in the sill just before the rear tyre. Phew. estimate is £155 all in.

The other party will have to pay for it and I tell you that he will HAVE a word with the local Kwik-Fit as they apparently repaired and re-fitted the spare y-day. Watch this space.

:(

atleast your ok.

I am physically OK (I think) but mentally not............. B)

U r right, the other half and the kids are OK, they got a real fright last night as it was dark and the car jumped badly.

Its typical, I have driven 'older cars' for years, never any problems and when I eventually splash out on a 'newer one' I have nothing but

hassle. The idea of owning a Toyota is a hassle free (but somewhat soul less) life... B)
