Taken The Plunge...

....and have just bought an 07 Avensis 2.0 D4D after much deliberation (only buy a car every 10 years or so so it is a big event for me!) Overall v. pleased but I have noticed that there is a slight amount of movement in the drivers seat when cornering and sometimes some movement when going over undulations Feels as if it is the backrest bit of the seat where the movement is. It's only slight but you can sometimes hear it make a noise when it shifts and I'm sure it shouldnt do that?

Has anybody else come across this? It will be going back o the dealer for them to have a look but I like to know a bit about what I am talking about....

I've got 2 Avensis D4D's none of my seats squeak or move - and I am quite picky about that sort of thing. Perhaps overly so.

Hope you get it sorted.

Regards

I've never noticed my seat move at all, seems steady as a rock. Also never come across a post or blog rerering to this problem so it doesn't seem to be a regular occurance with Avensis' (unlike water in your boot well or light unit condensation). I'd ask your dealer to make sure it is seated correctly and firmly. Hope you get it sorted.
