A lot of elbow grease

It can be a days work if you havn't done it in a long time, we will all have our own methods though, I start off using just my normal car shampoo on the underneath of the bonnet but my car is a 1999 GS so i dont have anything like sound proofing on the bonnet so i don't have to worry about getting that wet.

I then use Autosol on anything shinny and the well depends entirely on the surfaces you have under ya hood lol

Less than half an hour, avoiding alternator and starter spray on AutoGlym engine cleaner/degreaser. Use an old paintbrush to agitate, then hose off again. Tyre shine where appropriate. Days work  Perhaps a spray of WD40 on any electrical cable terminations and blocks before you start. Don't have any before shot of the Celica engine unfortunately.
