Anyone know what they are?

When they reflect off other peoples cars, objects or signs they seems to be multi-coloured if you know what i mean. Like you can detect blue and purple on the edges of the beam from the reflection.

Anyone seen this and know what causes it? I think they are pretty good lights but i have always wondered whether other drivers detect these changes in colour with angle. I notice it on other cars and wonder if my car is the same.

I love this effect.

Caused by the dipped beam Elipsoid lenses which give a prismatic effect and produce the colour spectrum horizontally condensed but the blue is most prominent. Not really noticable to oncoming cars as the effect requires a reflective surface to show the spectum against.
