Dvd Player Operation

I have a new Corolla Verso T-Spirit which has a DVD player under the drivers seat. My dealer has advised that to operate the unit after starting the engine it is necessary to press the on/off switch on the player. This means getting out of the car, pushing the seat forward, opening the flap under the seat, turning the unit on, before I can drive off. And this process must be followed every time the engine is turned off or the car stalls. The DVD also seems to reset every time so you can't follow a film. Is this correct? It seems very poor from a usability perspective. I had expected either a dashboard control or operation via the remote control.

Any advice much appreciated, to keep the kids happy!

You should have got a remote control with it but yes you are right it is a very poor system. Look in earlier threads re upgrades
