Eibach Lowering Springs

I had a set of eibachs on my old T Sport and they were excellent in terms of retaining comfort and giving the CTS a nicer stance. Now I'm looking for a set again only eBay is not throwing up any bargains like it used to (my last set were £65 posted!!! :o )

I spotted a set on this site Click here for £143.99 plus £10 postage - has anyone found them cheaper elsewhere?

Also, is the set in the link above the correct part number? I seem to remember the T Sport springs being the same as those on the diesels due to the increased weight of the engine over the lesser petrol models...

You are right about the Eibach's - had them fitted to my red 53 plate t-sport and the car now looks like a hot-hatch and also rides and feels miles better - the suspension does NOT feel any harsher.

Anyway, just clicked your link and it comes up £20 cheaper than you quote here.

However, the petrol models use one set of springs while the diesels (your link goes to the diesel ones) use a different set.

Try the other set on this site which quote the 1.8 petrol - think these are the correct ones.

This also fits in with the TTE versions of these springs - one for the diesel one for the petrol.

I have the TTE springs fitted to my black 53 plate cts which I think are marginally better than the Eibach's but I am led to believe that they are identical - maybe it's the difference between one car being 5 door and the other being 3 door.

By the way - if you have a facelift model are you really going to see any difference between your current springs and the Eibach's as yours has already been dropped compared to the pre-facelift?

As for fitting of these my local garage who do my MOT's charged me £100+VAT for fitting which I didn't think was too bad.
