as i said in my other post "tsport nightmare" when my lift wasnt working, its failed again. toyota said they downloaded an update for the ecu. also my oil flow valve was sticking, so they freed it of apparently. when i picked it up on wednesday all was fine. the lift worked perfectly :)

after about 30mins of driving and using the lift about 6 times it failed again :(

same story limiter cut in a 7k rpm...then engine light, vsc and tc lights came on...no more lift...

its now at toyota again, ive officially owned this car for about two weeks now and the dealers have spent more time in it than me.

Blimey, certainly sounds like you've got a bad 'un. :(

Did you buy it from a Toyota dealer?

You've usually get a 14 day exchange plan.

A similar instance happened to me. All the lights came on and, VSC, Traction and engine light. Had it towed to dealer and they had it for 5 weeks :o . Had to have the short engine replaced. They said the ECU was sending to much fuel to the engine and it caused excessive wear. It was under warranty so they sorted it all. I would ask the question about replacing the ECU.

Only after finding out 2days ago mine had the cylinder block replaced back in late 2005. I went searching the service history by ringing the diff dealers to find out what warrenty work was carried out on the car before i got it,get a better picture of how reliable its been in the past
