Springs

I am considering lowering my T Sport, (standard wheels fitted) i've heard that 35mm is the optimum amount to lower it by. Would this amount be front and rear or would they be different amounts? Would i need to replace the shocks as well as the springs (the car has done 63000 miles)? Also which springs are best?

Sorry to ask so many questions.

about 30-35 is right i say, Eibachs all the way i still need to get mine fitted i not got round to yet(i got standard wheels & looks like i will do for a while!), Eibach lower it 30mm, wouldnt think lowering it make front look lower than back or vice versa if thats what u mean, judging by pics i seen, if u going to chnge shocks may as well buy coil overs? though ride may be hard!
