Sticky Air Con/heater Controls

Hi all,

While I'm sure I'm not the first person this has happened to I don't really know what to do.

I've only had my Avensis two weeks and I've found that something has been spilled down the console where the radio and air con controls are, probably from the very dirty cup holder above. Everything works OK but the keys around the air con section get stuck in when I press them. The fan control knob was a little sticky as well but I found that I could pull it off and clean around it and I'm wondering if I can do that with some of the buttons. I can only get something the thickness of a credit card (guess what I've been using to get the buttons to come back out) down the sides of the buttons so I'm not sure what to clean them with.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

The best thing to use is a switch ceaner. This shouldn't damage the electronics behind the buttons. Use a small brush and some spray cleaner, gently work the cleaner in. You can get it from Maplin The only word of cauition is to make sure the cleaner does not melt or damage and plastic parts. Just try a small amount first. It's also bestto do it with the power off !
