Clutch Slipping

the clutch has just started slipping on my gt4 (71k miles) - I know its an expensive job, but does anyone have any recommendations for garages in the north east. 'Mr clutch' quoted £500 but I have heard mixed reports.

£500 seems a high price! What I would do is, call up some garages (sorry live in kent so don't know any north east garages) and get a price on fitting the clutch, though some places just don't touch clutches anymore as they are a pain in the *****. Then go to eBay and buy an exedy clutch for about £120 and take it there. I know people that have got clutches fitted for about £200 so it would be a saving.

But with mr clutch you get your free checks and adjustments after so many miles.
