Help!!! My aerial is knackered! I've tried extending it, then cleaning it (getting all the gunk off) and then lubing it up, but no joy. Still knackered. I assume that it's the common problem of worn teeth on the electric drive unit...

I'd like to take out the electric aerial, and replace it with a nice little beesting aerial. Can anyone give me any advice on doing this? I assume down around the motor unit there is a wire that connects to the actual extending aerial. How would I attach this wire to a new beesting aerial? Would I need all new fittings???

I'd be happy to leave the drive unit in the car but just disconnect it.
