Track Day?

No I'm serious!!!

Despite having the Prius for over two months, today was the first time I've given my right foot much exercise.

Having moved from a supercharged two litre I was resigned to driving like an old granny in the Prius, and it responded in kind.

Well today I had a six hour motor along the A47 (no motorways in my county) and blow me if the ol car didn't show me another side to her. Really quite enthusiastic, and to my amazement the front wheels spun when pulling away from the lights whilst flooring it. (I know not very eco minded of me). :driving:

So it seems the ol girl has some poke but I am still getting to grips with the CVT gearbox and the weird "slipping clutch" feeling. Also the steering can be quite light at times and I feel a little unsure what will happen when the car is at the limit of its grip...

So just wondering if anyone knows (or is interested in) driving our Prius' on a track? I'd love to get hands on advice from someone experienced in our model's perculiarities... :yahoo:

Have you ever done this or considered it?

Jon
