No way, just forget it.

Cheapest and best way to go is order a new map at the toyota site!

What's your Region??

Best bet and cheaper probably than the dvd...will be TomTom or another make...as these tend to be more upto date than car manufacturer's navi systems...and would cover 99% of places/Regions etc...

Try cramming a road map of the country into a small gap in the electrics - it won't work but at least you'll know why - the 2 media are not compatible!

English is my 3rd language too.

My comment was just being funny in my Scottish way (OK I know you beat us at football!)

I think what we are saying is that you should use TomTom separately and leave the cars satellite system alone.

Did you purchase the RAV new from a dealer and get the NAV as well...If they charged you for the NAV but no map...that's ridiculous  ....

If there is no maps for the car nav system available looks like your only route is separate system, like a tomtom, and there's no way of loading the maps onto your car's system or integrating via bluetooth as well....

P.S Don't worry we also have trouble understanding Bothy and his jokes as well....

One way to use the display is via the reversing camera input, but you'd need a bit of navigation kit with a composite video output (not likely to be a phone! or a tomtom), plus a switch to fool the screen that the vehicle is in reverse. The resolution won't be great.

Some of the Toyota "screens" with separate navi boxes have computer monitor type inputs for the navi box (e.g. like VGA) I believe, but I think they have non "standard" Horizontal/Vertical scan frequencies, so not trivial to do.
