Auris Tyre Pressure

hi all

i have a auris tr1.6, does anyone know what the tyre pressure for front and back are? i do them to 36 but doesnt seem right?

I don't remember now but that should be stated in your manual. Just check the tyre size.

There should be a sticker on all cars when you open the driver side door. One for heavy load and one for light load.

1.6 Tyre Pressures

More than 99mph = Front = 36 rear = 36

Under 99mph = front = 32 rear = 32

These are cold pressures.

I always thought it was weight/load dependent.

I think those pressures are based on a car with 4 people in. Its difficult to tell from the manual. There is an asterix next to where it says "recommended cold tyre pressure" and then further down the page it says *: 4 passengers with a full load.

Im looking at the manual now and it definately gives More than/less than 99mph tyre pressures. I use the below 99 on my T180 which is 38 front and 32 rear with no problems.

I use cold 40 front and 35 rear on the T180 and I got excellent even wear over the tread of the first set.

Hello have been told by local tyre garage to put 35 front tyres 32 back tyres you need more in the front tyres if you have got a diesel engine.

Well according to the book you should be using...

More than 99mph - front 36 rear 36

Less than 99mph - front 32 rear 32

Hello the pressures you have stated is this for petrol or diesel engine??? I no longer have standard wheels & tyres, I have 18" wheels with low profile tyres. So therefore I am best advised to stick to what the trained tyre fitter advised me to do!
