hi and thanks to those who helped me with choice of tyres for my t sport!

having just read a post regarding cleaning the pollen filter i wonder if anyone has had a problem with weird undescribeable smell coming from the air conditioning-it only happens when its been raining or the roads are damp in summer when its hot and hence i need air -con on. i told toyota about the problem last year at the same time as having mot done and they assured me it was the filter behind the glove box which they duly serviced and cleaned but a week later down came the rain and the odour returned! i wondered if anyone else has had this problem as i intend to take the mechanic for a test drive when i get my car serviced in april to prove its not my imagination!(and after having charged me for supposedly curing the problem i felt patronised by toyota staff when they told me it was my imagination as they had serviced the filter!)thanks for any advice, ardbrand

You need to read this thread

Basically you want a NEW pollen filter and a fungicide treatment to kill the bacteria that causes the smell...............and a new pair of socks.........:D:

Kingo
