I've today ordered an Aygo Blue with protection for collection in four weeks.

Great guy to deal with and really pleased as I wouldn't normally have bought from that particular dealership due to distance - it's a half hour drive further than my usual one - but I had contacted him about a used Aygo he had in stock and he was a genuinely nice guy so gave him my business.

So, folks .. what are the necessary accessories? I've an ipod touch. I presumably need a cable of some description? Also, the bluetooth .. does it just automatically work with my bluetooth enabled Sony Ericsson W800i ?

For the iPod (or any other "personal music player") you only need a

(short) cable with a 3.5mm stereo jack-plug (headphone) on either end.

Bluetooth-devices need to be "paired" once in general, after that they just work.

You DO need to have Blutetooth running on you cellphone, dus it does NOT have

to be "discoverable/detectable" for normal use. This is only neccesary for pairing

initiated from another phone and otherwise just drains your Battery just that

little bit faster by publishing its name over and over again.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the club!! am sure you will love your new blue!

you said with protection? is that like the side mouldings and parking sensor stuff? have not seen much of that on the Aygo? or is like four doorman who stand at each corner when you park it?

Hope your bluetooth is able to understand you better than mine does me

If your ipod touch has the same headphone socket (recessed into the ipod slightly) as an iPhone then most normal 3.5mm jack plugs wont fit. You will need a special one which has a slimmer casing. Most electronic stores will have them, if you cant find one then the Apple store have them (obviously).

I forgot about that, but walfice is right on that: the iPod touch DOES have the recessed jack...

You could also try to find a cable with a dock-connector on one side and a headphone-jack at the other.

In my experience the line-level signal at the dock-connector is of better level AND quality...

But since my newest iPod is a 2nd generation nano I can't be 100% sure if this also goes for a touch.

I've got mud guards, side mouldings and rubber mats. Don't need the parking sensors - it comes with wing mirrors as standard! The bluetooth will probably argue with me.

Thanks for the help on the cable side of things. Sorry for mentioning the collection times. I didn't mean to upset anyone. I suppose it depends when they are sending those big loaders to the area.

Good Choice,

iPod Touch has standard headphone jack as per the rest of the range.

You're right; I just realised that this morning as my collegue showed his brand-

spanking-new iPod touch to me... It had the jack on the bottom, like the nano:

When I first used my bluetooth, I struggled to get her to understand me, putting on an american accent coz the woman didn't quite get my yorkshire accent when it came to saying a few numbers. Then I read the instruction booklet. Obviously this makes setting up the bluetooth much easier and I would recommend changing the language to english english as mine came with american english! She understands me now!

Would'nt actually call trying to help someone out with a link to a £3 cable on e bay advertising, but hey ho  I am not in the business of selling, it was just a one off item that I happen to have that I no longer need.
