I was just wondering what basic tuning methods would help the performance of my t sport, will a straight thru exhaust or forced air induction kit do anything, any ideas welcome.

Thanks

depend how much money you want to spend!

Basics would be a decent panel filer and exhaust; maybe a decat.

Next level up would be a ported manifold, some cams, lightened flywheel.

Feeling rich go for forced induction... a nice supercharger will give it a decent low end power gain; or a turbo for some serious power.. bearing in mind you will be looking at a min of about £3k to go down this route; and time and effort.

Not sure what you mean by forced air induction.... maybe you mean a cai; which may give an extra 1-2 hp if shielded/positioned away from the engine heat.

If your after a Supercharger, look for a post from ProLex-UK in the For Sale section from earlier this year - they are offering to do some of the Corolla TS Supercharger's on a Celica TS.

Although they do not seem offer much in terms of gains.

Better off getting a Rotrex or greddy sc, both of which have shown to give decent returns

thanks for the advice was just thinking exhaust or somethinglike that for now as moneys a bit tight. Any decent exhausts recommended or do they all do roughly the same job

Another alternative would be to fit a set of light weight OZ Wheels, the Gen 7 is not blessed with torque so reducing the unsprung weight improves both performance AND handling.

If you check out newcelica.org, many owners have 16" Wheels for good reason.
