per 21 Feb 2k8 fuel prices in NL

95 normal €1,553 -> £1.17371

diesel €1,242 -> £0.93867 (bear in mind that the road tax on diesel cars is more then 50% more look table)

benzine -> petrol

dieselolie -> diesel

aardgas en G3 gasinstallatie -> LPG

gas en overige -> other kind of gas

it's based on the weight and fuel of the vehicle and paid every 3 months or yearly possible by direct debit.

so yearly tax for a rav4 petrol will be about €680 -> £513.924 and diesel €1244 -> £940.178

My RAV won't unlock the fuel door if I,m at the weasel pee pump. I paid 115.9 for the last tank of Shell V-Max. My other source is BP Ultimate - currently 116.9. I have to travel 12 miles to get either but no std fuel has been allowed in. After seeing my BIL trying for 4 weeks to get an injector out which was stuck in with carbon I will try to minimise the risk by firstly reducing the amount of carbon and secondly reducing the risk of the nozzles becoming blocked in the first place. Of course having little or no carbon is not just a benefit to the injectors.

In Ireland, 95 petrol is €1.169 (£0.88), diesel €1.179 (£0.887). Road tax on 1.8 litre is now €530 pa, on 2.0 is €591. Cars cost a lot more, though....
