Rear Door Hinges

Has anyone had the following on a 2002 Avensis GS VVti estate?

Left the car in airport parking for a week in Spain. Came back at 3 am after a few nights hard frost at airport. Tried to open rear offside door but it would only open half way (thought someone had given it a bash) - tried a few more times and it opened fully with great difficulty. Then exactly the same with the rear nearside. After a half hour run (with heater on, obviously), both doors opened with no problem.

Anyone else experienced this and any thoughts on what to do?
