Any details/piccies of how you did that?

The latter link is the correct one, the irst one is of no use, as it only links to the latter...

I Used that exact same module, only ran my wires

different and mounted the module slightly different .

One-Touch in action:

Please wait a few seconds for Video to load!

And the auxilary command for the passenger window:

Please wait a few seconds for Video to load!

I made a couple of posts on my modifications om the Dutch CityBugClub-forum:

http://www.citybugclub.nl/index.php?topic=...g23947#msg23947

Since the forum is in Dutch so is my post, but if you need

anything translated, feel free to drop me a message...

PS. I KNOW the sound is off by a second or so, but this happens everytime I upload to YouTube...

Over the last couple of weeks you've reported:

Brakes don't work :o

Condensation in Headlights

Rattly windows

With no updates on fixes, either your car is falling to bits or you work for VW undercover

It's not opinion, it's facts...

What I meant is that the first link only shows a video that's ripped from the second link....

So If you'd have posted the second all the relevant info would have been clear...

On top of that, who's to say the first video is actually done by the module as you never see the

actual button... I know the author of the original video, as he's been very helpfull in providing me

with a useful module, so I know for a fact the video wasn't manipulated, but it's not really that clear...

I thought the Aygo had a timing chain?

Posted

It does have a timing chain, I'd start using a different garage WV (WeeVicky) Hmmmmm WV - VW

Chain is good for the life of the car although it may need a manual 'tension up' later on in life.

Posted

The Aygo does have a chain not a belt, but if it did have a belt (like most cars these days) & it slipped, at best the engine would stop & at worst it would total the engine :o Are you sure you don't mean the belt which drives the alternator & power steering pump etc?

Don't bank on it! My Smart Roadster had to have a new timing chain and tensioner assembly at about 7K of driving. How's that for Mercedes quality!

May be it had something to do with the fact that the car was assembled in France?

Fair one Bloo, I was going off previous Toyota experience.

Yes it's clearly the alternator/fan belt but the fact the garage CALLED it a timing belt (if they did and it's not you guessing) indicates that they are either not fully aware of the car (avoid avoid) or trying to get some extra dosh out of you (avoid avoid).

A Toyota garage once told my wife during a service quote that the timing belt (of a carolla) needed doing. I phoned up and asked for the part number of said belt, funnily enough they could not find it and it was all a big mistake.

Funny how they found a price to change it

lmao my dad said it was the belt.... new dad perhaps ?

Well something is sounding like a slipping timing belt.... large sqeeks rather defeaning...

Probably auxillary drive belt, does it sound worse when cold & pulling away from standstill & gets better when warm & at higher speeds? If yes, either loose/worn belt or bearing problem with alternator, power steering pump, water pump or whatever else the belt drives

.... large sqeeks rather defeaning...

This normaly indicates that the belt driving the alternator is loose and the more electrical power that you demand (HRW, wipers, headlights etc), the louder the screech.

is that a warranty issue (I wanna be tight with my money lol)

If your car is still in warranty then they should adjust it for you FOC, but it shouldn't really loosen off within 2 years unless you have been thrashing your car or have galactic miles on the clock!

15000 miles?

lol ive done 3000 in a month ... i need to calm down i think

15000 miles?

I would not expect it to become slack in that mileage, but who knows?

Of course it could be something else!

Sometimes automatic tensioners stick.
