malfunction indicator lamp light just came on my rav4 nrg 2002 model does anyone no what this could be and does anyone no any good specialist in Birmingham or should i just take to main dealer

Hello Martin,

Sorry to hear about your RAV. Without a bit more information, it's difficult for any of us to speculate on what may be wrong.

First step would be to get some of the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) out of the vehicle, but you'll need somebody with a reader for that. Dealer should be able to do it (proabably for a fee).

I've experienced about 3 main dealers around here and although I may be too fussy and maybe I shouldn't say this, but I can't say I impressed with any of them for various reasons.

maybe worth PMing him to see if the specialist covers all aspects of Toyotas and not just clutches.

If you do find a good independant Toyota specialist around here, I would be interested to know, even with my relatively new vehicle.
