Central Locking

I need some help on this issue here people! Lately my 2001 T-Sport has been giving me a lot of problems with the central locking. It started not so long ago, when pressing unlock on the key, the car wouldnt unlock. After a while, it did unlock. So i didnt think much of it. Lately, it seems as if it hapens more or less everday! Its driving me up the wall! Ive tried both keys, changed the Battery on both, still no difference! I went to toyota, they told me, because it does unlock sometimes, they wouldnt know unless it completely didnt open! Not alot of help there.

I need serious help here. I cant even drive my own blimin car!! Has any1 here had the same problem or known of it from any1 else????

Any wise information will be hugely appreciated!

I've had problems with mine, caused by electrical interferance but don't know what.

Anything that runs wirelessly can interfere with it, radios, mobiles, wireless doorbells, wireless internet etc

Cant say how similar this is to the problem i had.

Same car type, same year.

Changed the dome fuse as per link (pennies), then asked the local Toy garage to re align the key to the car which was free and took seconds....Never a problem again

dont know how relevant this is, but i had a problem once or twice this winter i think with temperature! It seemed that if my key was left somewhere cold, e.g. loose jacket pocket or on an outside window cill the key would not operate! As soon and it was warmed up like in your jeans pocket or back in the house..........hey presto!.......it works again!

Is it just me?
