Replacing Side Mouldings On A 2004 5 Door

Hi.

I have a 2004 xt4 in quartz, but some how the rear driver's-side door side moulding has come away at the front of the door with out my realisting. The knock-on effect of this is that it touched the front door moulding slightly damaging both.

Does anyone know where I can get replacements, either used or new, in the correct colour (sort of darkish silver)?

many thanks

Jon.

Try Kingo (Parts-King) he will also give you a discount for being a club member. Send him a PM or he may see this anyway.

And I can give you a file on how to install them. Just give me the nod.

My Misses had a row with a large concrete bin and damaged the 2 door mouldings.

They come ready painted but are very expensive Kingo quoted me £318 for the 2 ,

we were both supprised.

Hmmm, IMHO I doubt if a breaker would remove them from doors. Would have thought they would

want to sell door complete.

What about removing them, getting them repainted, think there are stuck on with double sided strips,, thats what it looks like on mine anyways, might be worth a go

If you decide to remove them, gently prise away from the door while heating the area with a hair dryer. ;)

i am led to beleave that on the 04 they are cliped on ,what you can see at the top of the moulding is a seal.

The factory fitted mouldings are clipped on, with seals going all around the moulding, the accessory ones are stuck on.

I was shocked when I priced them, the same applies to wheel arch extensions, factory fit ones are very expensive

The trouble is, the doors are drilled where the clips fit, so I would'nt recommend putting the accessory type on. One good thing about the factory fit mouldings.........they come painted!

(Runs for cover.............blinkin well should be at that price)

Kingo
