Car Was Serviced And Brake Lights Dont Work Now

Just got my car back from the garage to be serviced. The car feels great now. However, since that happen last saturday I was almost hit from behind twice and got me thinking. Parked the car, and checked all the brake lights including high level light not to be working. All the rest of the rear lights like reverse, and both indicators work fine. I tried numerous methods to get it working, one method briefly worked which was using the emergency flash switch and the brake lights were on. did it again and refuse to turn back on.

The service bill did include getting the brake bulbs replaced on the car.

I could go back tomorrow to the garage and sort it out but when I phoned them up they werent too keen on getting it fixed and adding more charges to get the problem solved even though it was there fault to begin with.

Or is there a DIY fix I can do on the corolla? the model I got is the corolla 1.6 CD n reg.

Thats pretty poor service from the people who fitted them though.

When i fit a new bulb i make sure the lights are working before letting it out of the workshop, common sense i think.

Just goes to show that they saw the brake lights didnt work, fitted new bulbs and then never even checked them :S

Mart.
