I have just joined today. I have a 2005 Avensis T3S which has developed a water leak in the boot. The underside of the carpet is soaking wet. The car has been to the dealer twice and both time supposedly mended, but as soon as it rains the problem returns. They are now trying again next week, but are lending me a Prius while they do. If any body has any thoughts let me know. This niggling fault is spoiling an otherwise good car. Thanks.

Hi and welcome,

Hope they manage to get the leak sorted - Have a read in the Avensis forum, you may just find the answer in there somewhere

I had the same problem, eventially the dealer traced the fault to the boot lock. They removed it , put some sealant around the hole and refitted the lock.

Its been dry for 3 years since.
