Drivers Door Bang

Just recently I've noticed when I turn left my drivers door bangs!

Doesn't happen everytime and only on fairly sharp turns, coming off roundabouts etc - it seems to be coming from below the window and I've tested the electric windows and they still work fine - I was concerned maybe something had come loose.

Has anyone else experienced this? I don't think its rattling windows, it seems to come from underneath but apart from the window mechanism, what else could it be...

I will take it to Toyota, but as its so sporadic, I'm not sure what they can do about it, if anything!

Is it literally one loud bang? Like a really bad stone chip or something?

Maybe it's the force of the turn sort of "squishing" the left hand side and a loose fitting panel is making the noise?* Or something in the steering or suspension on the left is knocking and the noise sounds through the hollow door?

If it's a loud bang, that's not good! I'd get it checked. The knocking may only be sporadic but maybe the mechanic can spot summat?

Yours bangs, mine makes falsetto engine noises- anyone else? We could form an Aygo band! :D

only thing i can think is something has come slightly loose inside the door and therefore needs a sharp movement for it to make a noise, u tried taking the panel off to have a look?

Nothing in the door-bins (both front and back) I presume?

And you've also checked there's nothing loose under

or behind the drivers seat that can move around???

Empty the car out... glove box, cubby holes, boot etc.. incl the jack and spare wheel... do this to ensure you have nothing obviously mooving about anywhere... also take any large keyrings off the key .. then try it.. if it still bangs something could be loose somewhere.

Demonic, please don't take this the wrong way.....but does your right elbow hurt at the same time as this bang occurs???
