Egr Valve On A D4d

Hello is there anybody that can tell me were abouts the egr valve is located on a 54 plate d4d. And what sort of price a new one is,I have been having a problem with a misfire, it was origanaly all the time but at its worst at 1500rpm, i had the injectors tested and 3 were faulty so i have replaced them. Now the miss is still there but only very slight at 1500rpm,i have had them coded in at toyota and been told to try cleaning the egr valve. Has anybody else had the same problem and if so what was the cause any ifo would be graetley receved.

please guide what is this egr valve used for?

is this one is responsible to allow diesel to fill in HP injection pump?
