YUP mine swivel too.................................

I am a bit disappointed that you can't see what position the fan switch is in when it is dark though. Anyone managed to sort that one out??

I actually drilled a hole in the dimple since there's a bit of translucent plastic behind the knob.

Unfortunately the illumination was WAY too weak for my liking and the hole looked stupid too.

Since then I've filled the hole with transparent hotmelt glue so the bulge is back

where it should be and I'm now looking into fitting a small LED into the knob.

Only I'm having a hard time figuring out something to get power to the LED...

Here's some pic of the knob being worked on.

Haven't got any more pics ATM, due to lack of inspiration and time...

how about the 12v supply underneath. it will turn off when the ignition is off. I sugget locating the LED in the shaft of the control knob

GETTING the power is not the problem: I plan on tapping into the lights behind the white plastic bit.

The problem is getting the power to the LED while still being able to remove the knob...

I really want to fit the LED into the knob itself, as the rotation is too much to get

good lighting in all 5 positions without fitting 3 or more LEDs on the stationary bit...

How about using optic fibre to simply redirect the light...?

Thought about that, but there's not enough space to get it in with enough

slack to be able to fit it on and not have the optics bend too much/break...

Open them up so the point straight out, now take hold of the vent and

rotate it, like you're turning a know on a washing machine or similar...
