Brake Disks

:help:

Another brake question regarding the Corolla GTi.

Basically what im looking to do is put later spec calipers and disks on an early spec corolla gti.

Would the later spec disks fit straight onto the early spec hub? or would any modification be needed?

The Corolla does'nt brake too well and i thought i would put the later spec disks and calipers on as they are larger, might also get a new or reconditioned master cylinder. Any other ideas?? I already know about performance pad/disks just any other ideas that may be useful.

Thanks

Its actually the caliper that is different on the late spec cars.

To fit the late spec brakes setup all you will need is:

2x late calipers

2x late discs, 258mm

2x new late spec pads

Nothing else really.

I have some well used late spec calipers and discs for sale if you are interested!

Thanks

Jon

Thanks for the advice Jon, i already have the late spec calipers and a set of disks too. I always have thought the Corolla GTi brakes are poor. Does anyone else share this opinion?

Maybe Toyota did and thats why they uprated the brake disk size for the later spec ???
