Replacing Brake Lights

Was looking the other day at how to replace the brake lights. The one on the passenger side seemed very awkward because the boot strut was in the way making it impossible to remove the trim to allow access to the lights.

Also, in my manual the diagram shows a wing nut which needs unscrewing to release the light cluster but on my car it is just a normal nut which will require a tool for removal. Do other people have wing nuts or normal ones?

Mine has normal nuts too instead of wingnuts.

I'm actualy pleased with that, as nw I can reach in with a

rachet with swivel-extension, without removing the trim!
