It won't be particularly cheap but I'm sure someone will be here soon to give you a price.

I also doubt that anyone will recommend that you just have some pistons put in. It's one of those things that if you are going to do, you should do properly and get a full rebuild and replace/upgrade lots of other parts whilst the engine is out. Let us know what you decide

ian at TR&D in Nottingham charges £3,000 for a full rebuild with JE forged pistons, clevite 77 bearings, ARP head bolts, new oil pump, oil filter oil, timing and auxiliary belts , spark plugs and oil. cylinder head is also overhauled and clearances set. thats a drive in drive out price and you get a 1500mile warranty too.

dont skimp its not worth it

as the engine and box are out it is no extra to swap boxes at the same time (as long as you have another box) with these mods upto 400bhp (corresponding mods needed. turbo, fuelling and ecu) to go over 450 i recommend a set of forged rods and fully balanced crank at the same time.

i have just got some rods for my rebuild. £360. good spec, rated to 600bhp and 9000rpm (apparently there are cars running 1000bhp on them heres a pic)

to be fair ian has people coming from as far away as Luxembourg, isle of white as well as Scotland. he is about 3 mins from a train station as well

I did suggest that you should look at the "suger cube" some time ago on the linkage to sort your gear selection problems. You have done all the usual things ie adjust the bite point etc as in your other post.
