What do you mean by 'Nothing in Essex'?

In the Summer there's a rather large Japanese Car Show in Essex ( see the meets section for JAE information )

Right, With you !

No idea about how popular previa's are in the country, never mind just Essex. If you're after something specific then there's a fair chance you'll have to travel for the right one. I went from Teesside to Guernsey for my Sera !

What did you get , how old, mileage etc. There are a number of things you need to check on these cars if you wish to have trouble free driving.

Right

Unless you have a concise service history have the following done

1. Service the car every 6000 miles if mainly open road mileage or 4500 if town driving. If a mix of both then at least have the oil filter changed every 3000 miles.

2. Have the gearbox oil changed and ensure it is not overfilled. Overfilling will result in damage and high fuel consumption.

3. Have the coolant changed and the radiator + thermostat changed. DO NOT waste money on Toyota Red a 60/40 mix of normal ether glycol coolant with distilled water is more than adequate. If the existing water looks rusty then have the entire system flushed.

4. Have all the brake caliper sliders checked for smooth operation. These things seize up, cause brake binding and therefore high fuel consumption.

5. Have the shock absorbers checked, if the car feels like you are sailing a ship when cornering or if the tyres are wearing unevenly this is most likely the cause.

6. After the shocks have the wheel alignment checked.

Trust me this may sound like a lot but it is worthwhile doing.
