Replacement Gear Knob

Hi, I have just bought my corolla T sport and LOVE IT :

Though the Gear knob is all worn, it looks horrid so I would like to replace it. I've looked in all the stores and can't find one. Finally bought just a normal one from the internet and it doesn't fit properly.

Can anybody guide me in the right direction.

Seems to me like the chrome plating isn't that great on these.

Was able to get the one on my red cts replaced under warranty.

However I got the black cts out of warranty and now find it is going the same way.

(Must be my sweaty hands)

You can get a TRD version but I don't think it has the 1-6 markings on it.

I've seen a couple of cts ones on E-Bay over the last couple of years.

Maybe available off a couple of cts's I've seen being broken on E-Bay??

Apart from that it will be a trip to the dealer which probably won't be cheap!!

I bought a TRD one from fensport a few years ago for my starlet turbo. yes, it doesn't have the markings but you get 3 stickers for three types of shift pattern toyota use. they are about 2cmx2cm

1. the regular 5 speed

2. the 6 speed where reverse is on the 5-6 side

3. the 6 speed on the 1-2 side, as in the celica/corolla

I am in the process of now trying to chip the crome plating off, but to say it is a long boring process is an understatement.
