Hi, just put a deposit down on a gen 7 140 the other day:

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/c...mp;max_mileage=

car drove like a dream and got a decent p/x on my old eunos!

Just wondered if anyone knew of a reputable toyota specialist in the Notts area?? ...preferably Beeston or West Bridgford as don't fancy paying main dealer service costs if I can avoid it! Am aware of the oil consumption issue and that it can affect this model, though i heard if worse comes to the worse there's a few bods on here that live nearbysih, that can sort it out for the right price?

Cheers in advance for the info!

There is a Celica specialist in Hucknall, guy called Ian who goes under the name of Toyota Repairs and Development on Wigwam Lane.

I use a superb Mechanic just a little further away from you, Kev at K.H. Motors in Langley Mill on the Notts/Derbys border.

I totally disagree with fiz-vvti about letting a Toyota Dealer anywhere near your Wallet.

Cheers Scarlett! it doesn't have full toyota service history anyway, so don't really see the point in starting it up! I'll bear them both in mind if any niggles develop, or just when it's time for a service

Anyone know of a good place to have alloys refurbed? Mine were in relatively good nick, but i'd like to give them a bit of a spruce up!

Well refurb costs vary from £25 (minor rub down & spray) to £80+ (complete sandbalsting, kerb repair, powder coat & finish) all per alloy.

So it depends how bad they are and what you're willing to spend. Mine needed a full refurb, so just bought new as it was cheaper.
