I know it is a very short car! but I like to fiddle, ( no I don't play the violin ) so I am going to fit a set of 4 sensors to the rear on my wifes Blue.

The dealer option was £150 but I have just bought some for £18 inc p&p on eBay.

When we bought the car the demonstrator had them fitted and I think they were in the lowest flaired out section of the rear bumper which is only about 300mm above the road.

They would look neatest here as I can't fit them heigher as there is a rear protection strip fitted.

Anyone fitted them before ? any problems ? I have read the recent post by Jan re exhaust condensation.

Thanks....... :)

A word of warning if you fit them down there: the Toyota sensors have spacers

behind them to make the sensors sit at a straight angle, parrallel to the ground.

I fitted a set I got elsewhere without those spacers. They "look" up now,

which really screws up the functionality as reflections of objects

are now bouncing UP instead of back at the sensor...

Another thing that drove me mad is the exhaust-fumes. When it's cold

the gases contain large amounts of water in the form of condensation.

Enough water to actually make the sensors go off like mad...

I got so fed up with them that I actually snipped the power feed in half to disable the system.

Trying to get someone with another "black" to do a bumper swap now, so I can get rid of

the sensors and the holes... Personally I'm sorry I ever DID bother fitting them...
